So yeah, something awesome just happened.



A forgotten beast spawned in a cavern layer full of cave fish people, so it attacked them.
It managed to kill a good number of them, but then came along this one cave fish woman with a tower cap spear and an attitude.
She painted the cavern with its ichor without it even landing a attack on her.


She even got a name and the title of spearmaster for it.

Now what I want to know is...

Should I try killing Seasonbleached and her (barely) surviving tribesmen for access to the FB's huge corpse or leave her be?

I don't think I would want to step to a fish woman who killed an FB with a wooden spear.

Hmm...
I just got an absolutely devious idea.

I'm thinking about enslaving her and her people by catching them in cage traps, and using them in an arena of sorts.

Thoughts?

Make her an honorary dwarf.

By enslaving her in a pit and making her fight goblins.

Oh....huh.

It seems that Seasonbleached is listed as "Friendly" on units list now, but all her tribesman are still hostile.

When a local animalperson kills a forgotten beast, their status changes to 'friendly'.  I don't know why, but this behavior has been around for a while.  If you let her, she'll come into your fortress and hang out peacefully with your dwarves.  (Her buddies won't, but she won't mind if you kill them).

I had this happen once when an ant woman killed a forgotten beast with a tower cap shield and spear.  She became friendly, the rest of the tribe stayed hostile.
The spear and shield also became legendary artifacts!

Make a series of draw bridge air locks so you can shuffle her to where you want her then. I says put her in a glass orb above your dining room for constant meal time entertainment

Kill the other fish people, capture Kedthremlu and send a Dwarf champion to fight to the death.
