can retired adventurers be migrants?
« on: February 23, 2012, 05:35:04 pm »

since now migrants are historical figures, if a dwarf adventurer retires and a fortress is made near the town/hamlet he retired in is it possible for him to come as migrant? if so he might retain his items (like other migrants do) and skill thus allowing a "legit" way to have legendary soldiers without exploiting danger rooms or have to wait years with regular training, and many other advantages you can figure on your own.

I think this argument is worthy of some !!SCIENCE!!, i will try something tomorrow.

Yup.

Also it only takes under a year to get soldiers with proper training, without exploits :/

i already checked countless threads about training and even with 2 dwarves squads (that do indeed sparring and demostrations all time) with many combinations of student/teacher/weapon skills it takes quite a while to make them any useful

so far legendary miners in steel armor with 4 war dogs each is the best i can achieve without exploiting
