Havin' Prollems
« on: September 18, 2012, 05:37:26 pm »

Okay, so whenever I open Google Chrome after a while, It opens with two things: My normal thing that shows when it first opens, and something I did like 2 weeks ago. I pinned the tab (Right click tab, pin tab) and it doesn't matter if I unpin it or change the website, it always opens on the original website. How would I make it stop opening from there?

This might fit better in Life Advice, or the Google Search Bar.

Well that helped, thanks.

Here's my reasoning for not doing that:
1) This doesn't seem serious enough for Life Advice
2) People don't reply right away like they do here, and what already exists usually doesn't help at all

But again, thanks for the help.

I actually look in the life advice section to provide any tech support at all times i would have miss you when you posted in here but anyways. It sounds like you're talking about the homepage when you first startup Chrome, go to settings > scroll down to startup, there should be three options you can pick that chrome will follow when starting up.

Yeah, most tech-supportish stuff tends to get answered fairly quickly in LA. I don't use Chrome, so I can't offer any firsthand advice beyond that.

Aurora on small monitors:
1. Game Parameters -> Reduced Height Windows.
2. Lock taskbar to the right side of your desktop.
3. Run Resize Enable

Thirty seconds with google reveals that it is a fairly common problem. The solutions that I encountered are these, listed from worst to best:

1. Open your browser window and set up your tabs however you want. In this case, have nothing but your homepage open. Then go to Preferences>Basics, and change your "On Startup" to "Pages that were open last". Your browser will reopen in the same state that you closed it in.

2. Pin your homepage, move it over to the position of your first pinned page so that your browser always opens on it.

3. Switch to a better browser.
