The intro movie was made for a specific font aspect ratio, and older versions always used a font of that aspect ratio for the intro movie, ignoring font choices in init.txt. Recent versions do use the font choice in init.txt for the intro movie, which looks wrong when you've chosen a font with a square aspect ratio. The older behaviour should be reinstated.
