Are animal-men considered sentient?

I just found a lord with a bunch of animal man jewelry. Since I want to become a vampire, it would be useful to know if he's under a pile of sentient jewelry or just animal jewelry.

A bit off-topic, but I also found someone in the same room with the job title 'Holy Squid'.

Yes. They can craft stuff. Weapons for example.

Kill the cultists. Maybe reveal the vampire so you don't make anyone mad by killing the wrong guy.
