Making a Lets Play/Tutorial: Questions
« on: February 19, 2012, 05:11:20 pm »

Hey everyone, I was planning to make a video on Dwarf Mode, but because this will be my first video, I have no clue on what program to use and how to edit videos.  I have been using Hypercam, but after around 10 minutes, the video is pretty large in size.  Are there any preferences to shrink video size and what tips could you guys give to make the better videos?

Any opinions and comments are appreciated, as it will benefit all those who are planning to make videos too!

I don't watch any of the DF let's plays (they're good stuff but I don't need them), but couldn't you use df's built-in recorder instead? Then you could put it on dfma http://mkv25.net/dfma/addmovie.php

not sure if this would be much smaller because I don't make let's plays either (so i've never used recording) but this seems like a viable alternative. you could also go fishing in the prefs dialog of the program you're using to turn down the quality.
