In one of my last forts one of the migrants was a high master armorer and great fighting, dodging, shield using, armor using and as axedwarf ... directly checker her to see if she's a vampire. But no. Oh, and she brought her two children. Fatherhood unknown!

Wow, nice. All I've been getting are novice millers and fishermen.

I've got an accomplished marksdwarf with 375 kills including 44 elves. He's also a skill 11 tracker according to DT, so I guess he was some kind of bounty hunter?  8)

I was just coming here because I got one of those! I thought she was a vampire at first--she's got 100 pieces of jewelry from her 267 kills--but she took a nickname fine. I gave her a new nickname, "Fursecution," because the vast majority of her kills are critter people. She's also missing some teeth.

All of her kills happened in The Waxy Forest. It makes me wonder if you can get werewolf immigrants? I mean, she's a legit person, she's the daughter of someone who was already living here, but can historical dwarves pick up mordantly transmitted diseases and hide it like a vampire?

Apparently were-beasts only show up as enemies, even if they appear in human form.  If someone in world-gen becomes a were-beast, they become an enemy (or something).

If I get a hunter of animal-men I think I might give him/her a profession of "Yif in hell."

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.

Ok. Fursecution the non-vampire does NOT show up in Dwarf Therapist. What the hell, people.

There's a vampire in my fort with a living nephew that's also in the fort. The rest of the family is nonexistent. At a guess, because most migrants are historical figures it is possible (but rare) for them to happen to be distantly related to living dwarves.

Does Fursecution get thirsty when you lock her in a room? If yes, not a vampire.

Werebeast semimegas transform very frequently in fortress mode, and if you somehow got a were-migrant (not supposed to happen AFAIK) then you'll see the carnage very very soon. My guess is it is just a dwarf with a troubled past.

I keep getting husband/wife warrior combos.  I imagine them side-by-side, fighting of the goblin hordes; training together since they were children.  The ultimate fighting duos.

OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.

I've had dwarves intermittently not showing up in Therapist, the number varies from 1 to a record of 5.  It seems to sort itself out by exiting both and restarting them (hopefully).

Did have a vampire show up, found her because her assumed name didn't match anything in therapist, so I turned all her labours on in DF and then read the dwarves and saw which one was active in all labours.  Since I needed a hole breached into a magma vent, she nobly sacrificed herself and became a puff of smoke.

I'm pretty sure i saw an image of a migrant caged were-something dwarf that was listed friendly while in dwarf form but hostile while in panda form.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.
