Dwarf found dead...

....but not "drained of all blood". Just found dead. Still a vampire?

I've had a look at all of my dwarves and none of them seem suspicious....

Probably died from other means, check your reports 'a' and 'r' and see if there is info on said dwarf having been in combat.

Ah thanks. It seems he was in a fight with a Giant Crow.

What happened to "Urist McDwarf was struck down", is it no longer always announced?

What happened to "Urist McDwarf was struck down", is it no longer always announced?
If nobody witnesses the death you just get the "Has been missing" announcement and have to find a corpse.
