Dwarf fortress writes its own novels?

Let the picture speak for itself:

The books in year 61, 70, 77, 116, and 121 seem to be the essence of DF.

I found your image, sir, very awesome.

I also found very funny named books. Allow me to tell about one:

Today, I genned a world and had a quick glance at legends, and it looked like in that world, a human Deity became the (undercover) leader of an human civ.
So, in one of my suicidal adventures, I went to a tower and found a book name "It is Domoth." (it's not really the name, but it's something like that and I can't remember correctly). The book was something about how he became the civ leader or something.

One hour later, I went to a human capital and found the Domoth guy.

Of course, this is not that amuzing, but I found it very awesome because, in RP ways, my character knew everything about that Deity/Demon because he found a book hidden in a tower telling the truth about him.
Unfortunately, the "Accuse of being a night creature" chat option didn't work, otherwise it would be even more awesome.

I got all the books from the tower and stored it in a church for later reference.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

The Dwarves: Problems and Solutions.

I wonder what his final solution was, I wonder if it involves sending them all off to forts.

A man would see that as a difficult challenge.
An elf would see that and despair.
A dwarf would see that and say, "Bring it on."

The Dwarf and the Mythical Cheese, huh. Does it explain the mysteries of 'dwarven cheese'?

It explains how in the fuck you can milk a maggot, and why you'd do so...
