So it says my companions are hungry and thirsty, how do I get them to stop being hungry and thirsty, or do they not need to be fed or drink at all?

The bug is well known and noted. Right now, there is now way to let your companions feed and drink, though so far, I didn't notice any negative effects... but then again, my companions usually don't live long enough that this would become an issue.

I have had thirsty companions before that eventually lost their thirsty tag. I'm not sure if they drank, but it was one of the first games I played in the latest release and I was messing with water a lot.
