World Gen Parameters : SECRET_NUMBER
« on: February 15, 2012, 03:09:49 pm »

Looking at new world gens, I'm liking this [SECRET_NUMBER:28] that's popping up.

Customized worlds are going to be all kinds of fun.

Post experiments with the new parameters and your results here.

SECRET_NUMBER refers to the number of random secrets that a world has generated for it.
For right now, it seems horribly pointless and custom-secret-breaking to be such a large number, considering that there's all of -one- secret that doesn't even have any variables.

Yeah, it's the sort of thing I hope Toady considers "fixing" in the next update. How about a new slider for interactions, Less or More, without it discriminating between the random and coded ones.

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...
