As someone who uses their smartphone to browse the forums frequently, I was wondering about the interest in having the ability to have a mobile theme for SMF 2.0..

Thoughts?

I read the forum from my cell every so often, loads fine and fast, never had any sort of problem.

Isn't there already a mobile version? There is one on my phone however it's not a smartphone and rather old. It uses the same colors however there are no pictures or spoiler/quote/code box things.

yes there is already a mobile version I'm on it right now ;P
picture and code breaking is a bummer but I can load normal version and hope it loads the picture I want to see before it page too larges me... or that it'll load at all

I've got a cheap Android phone--an HTC Wildfire which is one of the weaker Android phones available in terms of hardware. It really doesn't play well even with the Bay12 Forum and it takes a while to load. I also have to scroll from left to right quite a bit, which is rather annoying.

I'd certainly like a mobile version. SMF is probably so huge now that there is some sort of functionality to change the display to be more mobile-friendly. I hope it will be adopted by Bay12 if it exists.

You can select WAP2 mode at the bottom of any page, changes it into a mobile friendly version.

Most BBCode doesn't work, and pictures don't come up. But it's fine for browsing.

I think MoM  people are looking for a full web support for a mobile platform for us with fancy technology.

Yeah, I can load the regular forums on my phone too, I just much prefer the mobile theme for easy reading.
