Historically, feces was also dried into bricks and used for burning. It could be used for pottery kilns or something in place of other resources on maps that do not have access to coal or have limited amounts of wood as in desert environs. There could even be unhappy thoughts if it is burned or larger amounts required as a trade off for having access to a cheap fuel source.

ah yes, fuel bricks, i dont disagree that there is a lot of potential for implementing this, but remember that there is still ongoing development/bugfixes on features from 2005, so the real question boils down to if you must have this feature so bad that it trumps fixing 7 year old bugs, and refining core concepts.

would you rather have better military, a logical method for handling stone dumping, and rebalancing of the flawed features that make the game 'too easy' to some. (mods anyone?) a better way to manage your dwarfs professions, a refinement of the way that war, diplomacy, advanced mechanics, defence, economy, the noble system, and world simulation.

Nobody was talking about prioritizing waste management above all these other aspects of the game; the poll was about whether to include it at all. Timing is up to Toady to decide, based on technical expediency.

Suggestion boards are generally not about what should be implemented first. They are about discussing the potential to implement something at all. I absolutely do not think that poo and sex should trump all the bug fixes and other UI issues. Unless of course poo WAS the bug fix... now that would be odd
