Terraria inventory problem

I recently tried to open my character's inventory in an inventory editor, which I thought was up to date. When I booted Terraria up, his entire inventory was gone (except for a metric fuckton of copper shortswords)! Is there any way to restore it? That was my main character with full adamantite armor, a legendary phasesaber, and several other awesome things that I can't remember!

Nope, unless you want to cheat it all back in, or if you had a backup. Take it as a lesson as to why you don't use inveditors on your primary character.

Uh, possibly? But system restoring just to get back mid-high gear for a game seems like a bit much effort. If you didn't have any personal ethical problems with using an invhack before, why should you now? Just give yourself back whatever you lost, and if you really care, give yourself a few stacks of plat, get back the old buffs, and trash the rest of the cash.

Well, the thing is that it's hard to remember an entire inventory of items. The system restore is only from two days ago or so, so it probably wouldn't hurt.

Just a word of advice for the future: if you're going to invhack stuff, do it on a mule character and leave it in a chest on your main world.

*shiver* I hate system restores...messed up my laptop for a pretty long while. Registry errors :(

It should be noted that windows can wipe the registry fine- just make sure you do it right.

You'll still have to reinstall/repair installs tho.

On another note, inventories are like continuously glitchy, so using an inv hack program that isn't updated is a bad idea.

Look at it this way: now you have a reason to replay the game!
