So yah, it's the first year and I have yet to build a trade depot. A dwarf caravan arrived and was like "Oh noes we can't trade with you D:". They waited at the corner of the map for a long time even after the message "The caravan has embarked on their journey." They still stood there. Eventually the merchant went berserk and a merchant sword dwarf killed him. Will the caravan come next year?

Next year a new dwarf merchant will come.  In spring some elves will come and in summer humans will come.
