Bugged mood?
« on: February 06, 2012, 04:11:48 pm »

A while ago I got the announcement 'Urist McHauler cancels drink: Taken by mood' but I never received a follow up message about him claiming a workshop. I just checked and he's standing in my dining room doing nothing. He has not claimed a workshop and he hasn't picked up any materials to start building. Is there any way i can fix this or do I have to euthanize him before he causes too much !!FUN!!?

They won't start doing anything if they do not have what they want I guess.
Check and see if there is anything he seem to want.
Also, are workshops forbidden?
And are there any workshops you have not buildt yet?

I just checked and he's a novice gem cutter, I'll build a jeweller's workshop and get ready for yet another pitiful artifact...

Whatever it will be, be sure to put it's description up here.
Too few people say that got and artifact and share the epicness or suckage.

edit: Also, see if he has other skills and make sure there are a workshop for them as well.
Oh and be sure to have materials ready!

Okay wow, this is one of the worst artifacts I have ever seen. My dorf was possessed too so I didn't even get a legendary gem cutter out of it :(

Zegeda "Tattooedstirred" a perfect black zircon

This is a perfect black zircon. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. This object menaces with spikes of black zircon.

That's it, no engravings or bands or anything. Cool name though

I did however get an artifact willow blowgun and an aluminium mug. I'm not doing too well with artifacts on this fort...

They are pretty sweet but only if you manage to get ammo for them, which is pretty much impossible without modding. Without ammo they tend to function about the same as a wooden training sword.
