Great strip.   :) Once again, probably funny to nonplayers as well.

I had a really epic moment like that a while ago. It went something like this....

1: Traders show up
2: A dwarf is instructed to bring a caged colossus to the depot.
3: Goblin army shows up.
4: The order is given to get everyone inside.

And here's where it gets interesting. I suddenly recieve a message along the lines of "Urist Odbomrek, marksdwarf, has bled to death." All of my dwarves should have been inside and the gobbos still weren't terribly close. I scan around outside. No sign of the marksdwarf. I (z)oom in on his corpse. The colossus is standing right outside the barracks.

What follows is five champions/fortress guards pounding away on the thing seemingly forever and making no progress until I draft EVERYONE in the fort to help. Meanwhile the gobboes make it through the traps at the gate, but
are softened up enough that the caravan guards manage to take them. Biggest "oh shit!" moment for me in the game so far, being attacked from inside and out.

I would just like to show a more detailed graphical representation of a cat-infested fortress.

There's a massive discussion/argument about that on some news site where the video is listed (first place I watched it).  She buys and makes up several pounds of food on a daily basis to keep them all fed.  The main purpose of scattering that food around at the beginning is to get their attention so she can actually move around.
