Dwarf Demands ROCK! Demands ROCK BARS! And doesn't take any?

Seriously!

He is shouting for "Rock" and "Rock bars"
and there are piles of stone and stone blocks around.
Unless rock BARS means something else, I'm stumped.

Ehh, shouldn't be too hard. Make a wood burner, and a smelter. Make coal, melt a random metal, happy dwarf.

Well crisis averted and now..
Well now I just realized something scary..

Ok, did Toady go overboard on scaling back the OMFG HUGE AMOUNTS OF ORE thing?
Cause 80 levels down ALL I realize I have come across are a few veins of lead and zinc.

I mean, usually by the 2nd or 3rd Sub level ,there are veins of iron gold silver, copper ALL OVER the place. ANd I just scanned every inch of visible wall and see NOTHING but a few zinc deposits..

Is this the shape of things to come?

Yep, Toady scaled back. Though there now are now options to set it to what you want on world gen.
