There is the sound of soft crying. the Man grabs the baby and lifts him up and puts him in a white blanket. He takes the baby away from the mother, for she does not seem to well. She Screeches and starts snapping her teeth at the man as he places the baby on a table, next to a .44 magnum. He grabs the magnum, and aims it at the mother. You can barely hear him whisper "Im sorry" as he pulls the trigger.

He grabs the baby and walks out of the building, shaking slightly as he does. There is a truck outside, red with blood. The original color is faded but a slight blue. He opens the driver side door and puts the baby down on the passenger seat. He looks around and then gets in himself. He sits there for a moment and begins crying softly. From the back of the truck, you hear a little voice say "Dad, wheres mom?"
"Shes in a better place now."
"Like Grandma?"
"Yeah, like Grandma"

The man starts the truck and drives away from the small shack.

Bio: Abraham, named after his grandfather, or "Able" as he likes to call himself, was often described by his teachers as "a rascal" but "rather bright." He has a tendency to get up to trouble while pursuing some curiosity or idea, and, in the volatile world post-infection, this trouble generally ends up getting him hurt- and requiring Adam to come to his rescue.

Name: Caine Winslow
Bio: His name was chosen by his mother, not his father, and means "Spear" or "Little Battler" in Irish/Gaelic. The rationale behind this is that with such a name he will be better suited to defending himself in this new world.

Im leaning towards Thatkid's post, but if i chose it, im gonna need a city name. So if more people post on what they want, but if theres no unanimous decison, ill take and combine the most popular ones.

Update 1:

The mans name is Adam Winslow age 38, an optometrist. He wanted to be a surgeon once, but when his wife Eve got pregnant, he took a small time eye-doctor job for his small town of Little Bird. His son, Abraham "Able" Winslow at the age of 8, was a bright young lad. He was always in the top of the class, but used his brightness in all the wrong ways. Able made small time traps to play with his father and mother, but he normally got in trouble with his teachers alot. And finally, Caine Winslow, the new born. His name means "Little Battler", taken from the Irish/Gaelic language.

They Drive on a small, dusty old road. Adam looks at the surrounding area closely. Theres a small building to the north west, possibly a motel. To the north east theres a trailer park. Straight north the road continues into a small town, A place Adam thinks is unsafe. Adam stops the truck and pulls out his .44. He looks at Able. "Able, i want you to take this and protect your little brother. If someone comes by, aim it and pull the trigger. If you see someone in a car, dont leave the truck, understand?"
"Yes Dad"
"good, now, Where do you think would be a safer place for us, the trailer park or the Motel?"

Update 2:"The motel Dad"
"You sure?"
"Yeah"
"Alright, we will head to the Motel then."
He drives for a bout 1 hour and stops the truck about 50 yards from the motel. He exits the vehicle and pulls out his small pocket knife. He walks up to the building. The outside is covered in blood and there are a few bodies in front of the check in area. Adam walks up to the check in area, he doesnot walk in front of the window. He then says "Is anyone alive in there?"
"Whos out there?!?!"
"My names Adam Winslow, I come in peace."
"Come in but dont make any sudden movements."
Adam walks in to see an old man dressed in a full bio suit.
"Alright, Adam, i want you to drop the knife and show me if you have any bites on you."
Adam does as instructed and Removes his shirt and pants, showing his body. "See. No bites."
"alright, your clean" From behind the man you hear a click of a door. 3 people walk out, also in Bio suits. The 4 people converse in whispers and then the old man acknowledges you. "You got anyone with you?"
"yeah, my 2 kids"
"Alright, well get them in here and dont forget your knife."
Adam grabs his knife after redressing and then runs back to the truck, gets in and tells his kids. "Ok guys, look like we got a place to hide out for now."
Adam Pulls the truck up and Grabs Caine and then lets Ale out of the truck. They walk into the Check in area and the people in bio suits look at them. then the old man says "Is that a newborn?"
"Yeah, it is. Why do yo ask?"
"We need to get him in a safe zone, he could be infected by now."
The old man reaches for Caine but Adam pulls Caine away from him. "Hold it." "This is my son, And i will decide on what kinda treatment he gets, i say hes fine right here."
"Are you crazy, He could di...."
The sound of a gun goes off and the old man raises his left leg up and falls over. Adam looks to his right and he sees Able holding the 44 at the old man. Able finally says "Dont touch my little brother!'
Everyone is silent. Adam take the gun from able and puts it in his holster.

This. See if you can't negotiate with the man to keep your new-born safe. He shouldn't have any teeth to bite people yet, so it's unlikely that he's a threat.

Update 3: Adam crouches By the old man "Im sorry about this, please dont blame me for this." The other people walk over and pick up the old man and bring him to the back room. One comes back out, a Lady. "Alright, listen. If your gonna stay here and live with us, we might as well get to know each other. I'm Sharon, the old mans name is Jack and the other two guys are Tim and Bill. Whats yours?"
"Im Adam, this is my son Able and my other son Caine. Im sorry about what happened to the old man, my sons a little trigger finger."
"No worries, he will be ok. Now, about your son, Caine. We do have equipment to check and see if hes infected or not, would you allow me to check him?"
"Sure, just let me get some stuff from the truck and then we can do that."
Adam hands Caine to Able, and walks to the truck. He grabs his Glasses and puts them on. Then he grabs the box in the back of the truck and carries it back into the Check in area.
"Alright, thats all i got. Ready to do the test?"
"Yes, just follow me."
They walk towards the back room and Able hands his dad Caine.
"Just set him down right here on this table and ill get the stuff."
She walks over to Jack and asks where the needles are. She looks around and then grabs a small box from beside the table. "All I have to do is get some blood and then check it in this little machine, should tell us."
She sticks Caine with the needle and takes a small bit of blood. She then enters it into the machine. It beeps Rapidly. "Thats.......Strange"
"What is it?"
"Your sons infected but hes not slowing down in heart rate nor does he have a fever. Did his mother happen to be infected when giving birth?"
"Yeah, she was"
"Well that explains it. Your sons immune to it, he cant be turned. This isnt normal, so your gonna have to watch him from now on."
Adam looks at Caine, who has fallen asleep now. Adam smiles. He looks at Sharon ad says "Do you have a room we can use?
"Yes we do, its the door to the right of us, it has a bed and a bathroom if you need it."
He thanks her and enters the room with Both Able and Caine. Adam sets Caine down on the bed and wraps him in the blanket. Able gets on the bed and lays next to Caine. "Im tired Daddy."
"Me too son, me too"
Adam lays down on the couch in the room, he starts to smile and then whispers to himself "This is for you Eve." He then falls asleep.

Anyone at all? Pretty much you fell asleep and all you have to do now is suggest what your going to do when you wake up. And im going to be putting your stats(Basically what is appropriate for your guy based on his job) and hunger/thirst in the next update.
