Adventurer Spawn Point
« on: January 26, 2012, 06:47:40 pm »

Is there any way to make adventurers who aren't human spawn in a specific spot? (or at least a specific continent!)

I keep trying to play as a dwarf, but they always spawn on a different continent from where my fortress is.

Beyond looking at which civ is closest to your fort, no :(

Even if I choose a civ thats right next to my fort, he still spawns in a human town on the other continent.

Now that is quite unusual. Does the civ you're embarking on have more than one settlement?

Its a dwarven civ.  I think they only have the one mountainhome and possibly my old, abandoned forts.

Whispers, this is the Adventurer subforum. He's playing an adventurer.

At the moment, all adventurers just randomly start in the middle of a human town. It's kinda awkward, but there actually aren't any mountainhomes, forest retreats or dark fortresses in this version. They have sites, but no buildings.

Right now Rampages seem to be Godzilla quietly walking into Tokyo, biting the leg off of one reporter... then creeping off again without a sound.

And you can start in different towns.

Even if I choose a civ thats right next to my fort, he still spawns in a human town on the other continent.

This is the problem, Dwarf Forts, Elf retreats and Goblin towers pretty much don't exist in adventure mode. Human towns and castles are the only places :(

So it seems that I can either be an adventurer who's the right size to use the candy armor in my fort, but be on the opposite side of the world.  Or I can be a human and be able to get to the fort, but not be able to use anything I've made there...

Thats rather annoying.
