Will this make adventure mode WAY harder?
« on: January 20, 2012, 03:27:29 pm »

I've dug a single tunnel outside my fortress walls that connects the surface to all three cavern layers.
forgotten beasts are just POURING out of it at a rate of about one a month.
If i abandon the fort now without closing off the hole, will FB's just be roaming all over my surface world for adventure mode?

Life (in dwarf fortress) is a cocophany of flavours, each more succulent than the last - why not sample them all?!

I'm not completely sure, but I suspect they will be restricted to the site. I've never encountered (or heard of anyone encountering) FBs on the surface under any conditions.

Finished: Weatherwires, the Last Mountainhome. A tragic mix of Children of Men, City of Ember, and, uh, magma.
Stymied: Correspondence from Syrupurns, a prematurely ended narrative, told through annual updates.
In Progress: Roomcarnage, a fortress clinging to life beneath a haunted glacier.
