Imagine a dwarf. He was in the fortress as the first woodcutter. Imagine he has weathered sieges, forgotten beasts, titans, and dragons, and has come out to tell the tale with a single scar and melted head fat.
That is my Milita Commander. He has 31 kills to his name, but also participated in the killing of a Bronze Colossus, 2 Forgotten beasts, another Dragon (the one that melted his head fat that: killed by a last minute swing with a shoe by an innocent bystander), and a giant.

Nah kidding, most of them die before they make great names for themselves, or maybe since I run a Sparta system where the glory of the fort is valued over individual honour, I just can't be bothered to notice Urist McDragonSlayer.

Wait, I do remember one...

The Captain of the Guard in an old fort... She killed a Titan that blinded her, and showed me the way of the Dwarven Optometry !

The heroes of my forts are too numerous to name. There are stories of them scattered throughout the forums, though. So I may be able to look for one or two of those.

You might want to add that Dorf to your custom engravings, just to be sure he takes his place in Dwarven history. I don't remember exactly how it was done though...

Insane(or violent or otherwise) Dwarves can be killed with impunity.
