He was a swordsman, a sucky swordsman, he died after one hit from a bowkobold, hitting him with the bow itself.

Gee, that must've sucked.  800 years of life only to get clubbed to death by a kobold with a single swing?

Are you sure he wasn't a skeleton? Or zombie.

Wait, if a kobold killed him, that doesn't sound likely.

Weird.

Yeah, I've noticed in my Legends page that there are quite a few creatures with incredibly long lifespans.

Until I get through the life cycle arc that actually does deaths and births during history, it'll be like this.  It tries to adjust the birth dates, but sometimes it doesn't seem to work, but that's all a hack anyway.  However, births and deaths will create way more than 10000 hist figs, so it'll have to cull the dead ones based on important or something, and the minor events (like death) associated to them.  It's a bit messy, so I'm not handling it for a while.

It's important to understand that Gandalf was not actually human. I don't have my copy of the Simirilliririlion here with me, but I think he was a Maiar.

1st : I second that I believe Gandalf was a Maia.

2nd: "Simirilliririlion"? Sweet Jebus! Did you just give up on the spelling? I can't spell it either without the book handy, but I can't even *pronounce* that!  :p
