crash on world gen

when trying to generate a world the game crashes with the following message being produced:

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Dwarf-Fortres\dwarfort.exe

abnormal program termination


it does it both on the new release and the previous one (thats actually the reason why i got the new one), but i have generated a world on the previous version as well.

What are the specs of your computer?  How much memory do you have?  Did you mod the game?

i think its:
512ram,
anthlon processor
1.2Ghz (?)

im at school right now, so give me a few hours and ill give you the exact specs.

also no mods other than a graphics set.

Sounds like Toady is going to have to take a stick of RAM out of his computer ;p
