I've had meal stacks get into hundreds easily. (Roc meat + turkey eggs + sugar/flour + leaves = good times)

I think you can cook non-edible plant seeds, like pig tail seeds in edible food. So if you're taking the cavern challenge, and there aren't any plump helmets growing prepared meals can be your only food source.

Build a grid of floor grates above the entire city. Draft a squadron of masons and bomb the crap out of the city with falling constructed walls.

though I wondered how they had managed to butcher a FB made from mist, it probably tasted funny

it was still a 100+ stack of FB roasts. I never got to sell it though, it was worth easily five times a 4 pack animal caravan
