Animals stuck on roof

Some animals are getting stuck on a floor that they shouldn't be able to get to.  There is no way up, and they don't seem to be able to get down.  Some of the animals are even carrying supplies.

Apparently, the animals are from the merchants I killed.  I had flooded the depot below, and somehow some animals got up there.
