New to AM. Question about Tasks (Quest)

I went to a quest to defeat some guy - when I got to the exact spot there were just blood splatters and remains of some other non-related individual. But no sign of my intended target?

I'm quite new to Adventure Mode so not sure if I am doing something wrong.

Are you at the right location? Also, that might mean someone's beat you to the kill. Tried talking to the guys who gave you the quest?

it sounds like some beat you to the target but got killed by the target.
look around a bit may be the target is still in the area.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.
