I see him on the Therapist list. Tholtig Degdeler, in wave 1, 5th from the top. Deg is dwarven for "way" and deler is dwarven for "steel." Degdeler = Waysteel. He'd be visible on your units list, too, but he's probably dead.

i still have all my dwarves from embark and fist migrant wave, and i check the dead list constently so id know when he was dead.... dissapearing dwarf???

after closer observation of my dwarfs name list i find degdeler, thanks!
