Bookkeeper complaining about office being too valuable.
« on: December 26, 2011, 08:44:54 pm »

I made my bookkeeper a modest office, and now he is saying he wants a meager office, how could I bring the rating down?
The office has a chair, 2 doors, and the walls are smoothed. It used to have a cabinet and a chest, but I removed those.
How could I fix this problem?

That is his room requirements. No need to bring it down. A modest office is better than a meager office and it's ok. He'll still work.

I think that's just listing the minimum quality facilities that the bookkeeper needs (like, just actually having an office) rather than what they have to have. You don't have to make it less valuable.

It would get rid of floor engravings, sure, but I don't think the OP has any of those.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

It'd also get rid of the "Needs: Meager Office" entry.

Now that he's gone, everyone is doing their part in replacing him.

1. Set a single chair somewhere
2. THAT IS YOUR OFFICE BOOBKEEPER

Anyway, as others have said, he can have the better one. It's better.

What kind of training does one go through to be a boobkeeper?

There's a magmawiki for that.
