It wouldn't be cannibalism unless it ate an elf.

That said, I could swear I've seen something like this happen before in a previous thread... Although that may or may not have involved large amounts of modding malpractice.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.

001031 [adventure mode][inventory] - a merchant pack animal caught at an old dwarf site during adv mode was wearing a full set of clothes

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

I arrived at a dwarven fort (back in the day they existed) to find two unnamed trader animals, a donkey and a horse, decked out in full clothing.

I found a Dorf Liason outside my fort once. Did nothing. Every time a caravan appeared they would send me random planters and masons instead, and the liason would just be content with swimming in my bath houses :S

Idea! Gather various animals, make them kill things until they get named, abandoned, reclaim.

Post results.

Is there be a way to check legends mode on a world when I have a fortress running on the same world? Otherwise I'll have to wait until it's 'finished'(which shouldn't take long anyways  :P)

I do have mods installed, but I'm unsure as to whether they would affect this.

You could copy the save folder and abandon that one and check legends.

It isn't a new Dwarf Fortress version until we're made to fear some kind of regular creature.  Carp, Elephants, Unicorns, Badgers, and now Mosquitos.  I've got 5 dorfBucks on the next one being plagues of groundhogs.

You could also make a copy of the region folder, abandon the duplicate fortress, and check legends that way.

For some indeterminate reason, checking legends mode was causing my game to crash.

Here is the save file, if anyone is interested in checking up on our well-dressed friend.
