-Disregard!- Building floors over boulders then removing
« on: February 16, 2008, 05:04:00 pm »

Okay, i recently discovered that if you build a floor tile over a boulder, & then remove the floor tile, the boulder is gone.

Problem is, sometimes (but not always) doing so results in a hole in the ground, just as if you had dug a channel.

Further weirdness... the bottom of this hole is a "murky pool" like at the bottom of a pond.

--edit--  ok apparently im a moron... ive tried to recreate the issue with no luck... i guess i just hadnt noticed those lil 1x1 ponds there before!

(hangs head in shame)

Further research indicates this only happens when the boulder on the surface was bordered by a silty or grassy area (IE not surrounded by stone on all sides)...

Loam or silt on the lower level doesnt seem to matter, i have a couple holes that are surrounded by stone on all sides on the lower Z level... but bordered by grass on the surface.
