176.38a Adventurer CTD while saving.
« on: February 16, 2008, 04:49:00 pm »

I was saving as an adventurer, intent upon killing a human town after reloading, but halfway (or whatever) through the save, the game crashed on me. Not to say but I was pissed, mostly because I had spent about an hour getting my Ambusher up to Legendary.

The only thing that might have been abnormal about this adventurer is that I had stolen an axe from a town. Other than that, it's vanilla DF, no mods.

Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

Where were you at the time of the save (in the town you wanted to kill?  travel screen?), and where/when had you stolen the axe?  These things are hard to track down, but if I retrace your steps I might get lucky.

I had taken an axe from a town far away, about 30 or 40 world tiles west of where I was at when I saved, only 2 local tiles away from the to-be pillaged town (1 North west, and 1 west) I had spent the time training in that tile. It's the only real specifics I've got.

This happened again, and Im pretty sure the reason this happens is because you steal an item and try to save with it in your possession.

Okay, I'll create a bug report and try to get it to reproduce at some point.

I can't get it to reproduce.  Any other information anybody has on this would be welcome.
