>Nab the drunkard.

You stand and make your way over to the drunkard, already beginning your seduction by putting an unnecessary amount of roll in your walk. You slide smoothly into the chair across from him and ask softly, "do you mind if I sit here?" "No, not at all," he responds. He isn't drunk yet, but he'll probably get there soon. You expedite the process by ordering him a pint with what little gold you have left. "Thanks. It's not often a woman buys you drinks," he says, taking a long gulp from it. (Seduction: 24) You reach across the table and touch his hand with your fingertips. "I've been watching you for awhile, and I think I would like to... get to know you better," you say. As you expected, he's hardly adverse to the idea and it's an easy matter to convince him to come back to your hideout. He seems a little unnerved that you live in a hole in the ground, but shakes it off. So... once you're done with him, are you going to drain him completely, or turn him into a slave?

Slave him!  We need someone to do manual labour that isn't an 8 year old boy!  (Also posting to say I'm watching.  =B)

This about sums it up.

Also, we should probably attempt to improve the digging machine. Or use it.

This is true.  We could try doing this the dwarven way - get simple tools to make tools we can repair things with - but we're a mechanic, not a forger.  It might be an idea to send our young minion out (not necessarily right now) to find a blacksmith willing to work for us of his own volition - the alternatives are kidnapping / kidnapping his family as colatteral.

On the one hand, getting a volunteer is likely safer, less suspicious, and more effective.

On the other hand, kidnapping is a lot classier. :P
