No contact with goblins or humans either in my fortress's sixth year. I've got a really good hall of traps and dogs but my goblin pit lies fallow except for the occasional half-hearted badger drop.

If I get enough wealth accrued, will I finally get a siege? My population was up to 200 but it's down to 180 now from cave-related phenomena... I find these less interesting than the goblin sieges with thirty plus units at a time, at least right now I do

I've heard if you're far from a civilization it might take longer for them to contact you but six years? Will I ever see goblins or humans at all? Ok thanks

its also possible you dont meet them at all

If you haven't seen them in 6 years, odds are good you just don't have any in range of your fortress (or there are no goblins or humans on your world, sometimes an entire race or species can die out in world-gen!).

Pretty sure I had humans and goblins both at other forts in this world. Maybe I can catch a dragon or something anyway. I caught a cyclops. Maybe I can make a great ceremony of pitting that
