Aqueducts too short
« on: September 05, 2006, 08:05:00 pm »

At the moment it is quite hard to aqueduct lava over the cave river. It seems that if there is a water tile next to the mouth of the aqueduct, it floods. So i had to mine up and down the side of the river for quite a while before i could fine a spot that was thin enough.
Would it be possible to allow slightly longer aqueducts than we have at the moment? I really want to lavaflood the outside world > :)

Yeah, this is a known, and annoying, issue.  I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.  I think you can use a stone bridge to get lava across the water, maybe?  Others have done something.

So like... flood lava across a bridge? that's quite sneaky... will the lava leak over the sides? i must test this immediately.
Pity i've never actually gotten far enough to SEE the lava >_< came close... but that save got corrupted  :(
