Getting these messages

Hunter cancels hunt, Interrupted:
by mountain goat
by warthhog

I think that there might be an error - hunter is supposed to go round kill animals not going to wet its pants on seeing them.

world was generated and fortress started in 173.38a

Maybe the hunter was spotted by them, and they charged him, intent on ripping out his stomach?

This is a bug, for sure, I tried the earlier version and its not doing this, the hunter wont collect the corpses and bring them back for butchering.

Which is very bad since I started a goblin tower and we need bones!

Well, at least they shoot them outright. As long as they have ammo, anyways.
Speaking of which, they are now pretty much sane when it comes to reobtaining ammo. At least with the cancellations, they get a chance to check their ammo status instead of going on a bashing spree until they get hungry.

Just wanted to chime in and say that the same thing is happening to me: hunters are having their "hunt" tasks interrupted by their quarry, and they're not returning kills at all.

He he he hehhe...  I changed the targeting code a lot in the last release, and I had the feeling something somewhere was going to go horrible wrong.  I'll fix this for next time.
