Crusader Kings II is a game being designed and published by Paradox Interactive.

It has the same look and feel as most Paradox games and will be focused on Europe/Middle East/North Africa during the Middle Ages. The basic idea is dynasty management, where you will take control of an individual and attempt to keep your family moving up in the world without too many daggers in the back.

It should be coming out in early February. I don't really know why I'm so obsessed with it lately, perhaps it's in part because I'd love to see a mod created based on the Song of Ice and Fire series. I would happily give my arm for a beta key but Paradox has been pretty careful about how many of those they pass out.
