Mass dumping problems.

I'm having issues with Mass designating dumping. Often times when I mass designate above ground my dwarfs will completely ignore the items. Any ideas how to fix this?

In the (o)rders menu, there are a lot of finicky controls that can make your dwarves do anything from collect refuse from outside to disallowing all collection of food. I'd suggest you see if anything strikes you as "maybe I should turn that on".

Apparently tripping the "Dwarfs gather outside refuse" to ON enables dumping out side items. I had assumed it only applied to moving body parts to refuse piles.

Might I suggest DF Hacks autodump feature? That along with autodump destroy has saved me FPS and wasted dwarf hours moving rocks and goblinite.
