Heya, so I decided to molest you guys here with a problem - as it does not seem to be a bug I was not sure where to post it...
So, I started to play DF Fortress Mode two months ago and fell in love with it instantly.
But - aside from the massive framerate-drop down to 15fps or less - after a few in-game-years it needs an *abysmally* long time to load a savegame.
And by "abysmally long" I mean more than a hour, easily... I experience this issue (as well as the speed problems) on several computers, one of them fast enough to have an easy time with Witcher 3 and the other being a Laptop which is not very much slower.
I do not play from a flash drive, use the Peridexis Starter pack 0.42.06 (but also tried a newer version) without temperature, cave-ins and so on... after "Allocating Space" and "Loading Jobs" has finally finished, the rest takes only a few seconds, but getting there is really a pain. Anybody with the same problem?
Aside from the guy who did not know that he had to press Enter, I did not find more topics concerning loading time.

Oh, and before I forget - the last world I created and played on was small, with short history and medium sites and civilizations.

FPS decline is normal, but hour long loads? That sounds buggy to me.

Would recommend uploading a save for expert diagnosis.

A bug was my first thought, too, but it happens always, on multiple (meanwhile three) computers and with the version mentioned above as well as with newer ones...
Gonna try to figure out how to upload the save.

Erm... which files are necessary? Just the world.sav or the entire region-Folder of the actual region?

You'll want to zip (compress) the entire region folder, and upload it to the dffd in the "bugged saves" section.  Then, post a link to it here and consider opening a report on Mantis (also with a link included).
