he's actually a decent clothesmaker. In his description it does say "quick to anger", that may be a factor

"Quick to anger" IS important. The only tantrumer in my fort is a fortress guardsdwarf with this personality trait, and he never rises above "content" : A high "anger" rating in a military dwarf apparently means he'll often have strong "enraged with long patrol" thoughts, and thus a very short fuse.
Which is a nice detail. It shows the personality traits actually mean something  :)

heh, he is quick to anger and has a lot of self controll:

he's been hovering around 19 - 0 happiness for a season and never ever snapped. Considering he's the weakest marksman in his group, and surrounded by hammerlords, axelords and lasherlords, he shows a great deal of common sense too
