My queen finally arrives - and she's an elf! Bad enough, but I can't assign her any rooms, she just doesn't appear on the list.  Even worse, her bodyguards don't appear on the units list (though I can see them in Dwarf Therapist) and I can't add them to the military.  Anyone know what might be going on?

Try looking up the DFusion utility, specifically it's Friendship (multi-race fort enabler) function.
