Right, I'm interested in signing onto this. Anything the party really needs before I try hammering out a concept first?
Well for one, there is a waitlist, but players get to have one job to learn the ropes before I take off the training wheels and actually let them die, so since this is everyone's first job, we may see some character death in the next one. (I'm not going to actively try, but I will be pretty punishing in the next job. Also, Manta gets a freebie because he joined late.)
In regards to characters, we haven't seen any Adepts or Riggers yet, so you could go with one of those. Street Samurai is a good starting class, though. Really unless Nalmar dies during the next job, they have all of the necessary bases covered, although I'll go through the list and tell you the general character roles.

Nalmar: Decker/Technomancer
Tom: Offense/Face
Hakron: Offense/Tank
Mage of Steel: Mage/Offense
Guinevere: Mage/Healer
Boomer: Explosives
Manta: Stealth/Face/Driver

Well, I got two concepts in mind. One if Nalmar gets slagged, the other I can use if he isn't.

I'm making a rigger, by the way. :D
Just love the idea behind it.

See if you can get an old Reaper drone. Those things can fly for hours, can be armed with machine guns and missiles and you can call it in for support easily by having it fly overhead in a circle over the area you're operating in.

Just make sure to find an airfield with a runway for it to take off and land on, as well as a spot you can hide it on. An old and abandoned private airport could work if you can find one somewhere...

Nothing is "abandoned" in the Seattle metroplex. You could probably find a shady place that will let you keep it there for a fee, but you are never going to find an abandoned airstrip anywhere reasonably close to Seattle. Everything will either be owned by the military, publicly/privately owned, or it will have some sort of gang squatting in it.

Like we said, abandoned. We just need to "abandon" it ourselves...
By driving out the squatters.

It will also give us a base of operations that we can use and store our stuff in. Just have to make sure that the gang members aren't missed or noticed that they aren't turning up anymore without a reason...

So we kill the gang, and take it for ourselves!

Edit: I didn't read anything below that post, turns out everyone else had the same murderous idea as I did.

Eh-heh-heh yeah...

It'll probably be privately owned.

The character is basically a nerd who's mom was a famous horror and medical drama writer. Needless to say, this meant he hated those genres, and loved sci if and fantasy. Lived with his mom for a while after he got out of college, she kicked him out a few years ago. Flailing with trying to get an income, he decided to do what he thought was cool, and be a shadow-runner.
Since he can do basically everything through Drones, it also means he never has to leave his house.

At least, more or less. I'll probably add more, make it a bit less comical. Probably end up having worked for Renraku for a bit. As a geek though, he's paranoid, sarcastic, witty, and practical in the way that geeks are when analyzing or making fun of movies or games. He also, however, has several degrees in robotics and programming, a high-rise and private security, and lots of deadly and often illegal custom-built drones.

Because he's ridiculous, he also uses code names.

I'm not quite sure what was up with him running or if you guys got that sorted out or what, but just to be safe, I'm waiting to do his action until I'm sure.

((...Can we hear him?))
If you're referring to Manta, then no. He doesn't have your comm info, but I think it's safe to say that at this point you should all be getting a message saying there's a driver coming to pick you up and that you can trust him.

"We were supposed to come here, destroy the data, and leave the lab relatively intact. We did most of those things, no?"
Just wanted to let you know that Johnson never said you weren't allowed to destroy any part of the building. He merely said that he didn't want any civilians or scientists killed. For all he cares, you can burn the place to the ground and pee-pee on the ashes and he wouldn't care, so long as nobody is in it when you do.

(Bonus points if you get my very obscure reference in there)

Letting you know that the game is on hiatus for at least a month. I'm going to be in a place where, best case scenario, I'll have internet, but not any of your character sheets or anything. Worst case, I'll be in a straight-jacket in a padded cell with no windows. I hate doing this stuff to you guys, but I promise I'll get to a more frequent update schedule when I get back.

Hey, at least I'm letting you know this time, right?
