Same world gen seed, same "random" name and so
« on: November 13, 2007, 09:27:00 pm »

I've been using the seed 220240221 when making worlds lately. It's been producing a decent world with everything in it. I've got two odd things going on with it though.

The first problem is, I'm getting the same name for it, "The Eternal Land", despite it set to random name. Not a big deal but it gets boring.

The second is, out of the 4-6 worlds I've made with it, about two or three times it's made the exact same map as one another. Kind of annoying, but if I really wanted a random world I would've forgone the seed anyway.

This has all been with 33a.

It must use the same seed when generating the random name.

And I'm surprised it was EVER different. It should be exactly the same every time. If it isn't, it should be a bug.

This. Same seed should always equal same world as long as you leave the name random and don't use any mods.
