Infinate rotting food that can't be hauled
« on: February 28, 2007, 06:53:00 pm »

I had some dwarves run for their lives recently from a lava flow that happened to be near the magma river when it overflowed.  The result was those that were currently eating left their food on the table.  It's rotted half a dozen times, can't be targetting or collected for trash, and just keeps sitting there creating miasma.  I have a save, if you want to see it.

I checked the bug reports and did not see it there, and don't know if it's been mentioned here.  I haven't tried to remove the table yet though...

Update, removing the tables removed the food so that it could be moved.  Still, it should be cleaned up without furniture removal I think.

Food can send off many miasma clouds while it rots.  The reason it isn't being moved is probably because the food is still marked as being owned by the dwarves that were eating it, which is a known issue.
