Armok's Warm Love
« on: November 04, 2011, 10:02:36 pm »

I want more lava and enemies. Specifically the big ones. Magma everywhere. Big beasties just wandering around eating the lesser things. I want a crazy world.

Though, considering this is Dwarf Fortress, any world I generate would be fine. However I want MORE.

I amped the volcanism to 99-100 instead of 0-100, and the titan number to 100, from 15. However, one of these caused the generated world [medium region] to be rejected over 1000 times. Now I've had this problem before while trying to generate a super evil world, but I can't remember how I fixed it then either.

Change it from 99-100 down to 50-100. You'll still get almost as much magma, but the world will actually gen. The problem is that once you set the minimum to in the 60-80ish range the world will start to fail at genning since it needs lower values in order to be complete.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Just wait. After ~1000 rejections you should get a message where you can indicate you want the world generator to ignore all errors.

Okay so, I genned the world anyways, and completely expected to get the dreaded 'DwarfFortress.exe has stopped working' error that it loves to give me so much, but no it genned a world and an embark.

However, the world isn't 95% lava. I am disappointed.

What made you think having volcanoes everywhere would flood the world with magma? One volcanoes cannot erupt so hundreds of them won't do it either.
It would be cool though :P

No no, I thought maybe amping the volcanism up to ridiculous [see:dwarven] levels, I would have magma vents everywhere, volcanoes, maybes the magma sea flirting with the surface.

My dreams are quickly being crushed. :(
