I've always loved the idea of rushing into your enemy's stronghold/base/town and having your men grab anything not nailed down, and hightail it out of there with fat piles of loot. I've played a few RTS games that let you upgrade units to give loot when killing enemies or attacking structures but I've never played a game that lets you rush in, terrorize the locals, and rush out with their swag. Anybody know any games with a good looting/raiding system on a large scale?

Mount and Blade does a decent job of it. Not great, but grabbing loot from defeated enemies and raiding villages is a valid way of making money in the game.

It is a tactical strategy game. Your main goal is to save the world from Aliens, but you can attack other factions in town and steal their equipment, then sell it for much needed loot.

As a bonus you can cost them money buy causing damage to their buildings.

King of Dragon Pass. Don't know if it qualifies as "large scale" though.

Sounds like Haven & Hearth to me... then again this game has a DF learning curve.
