[39b] ramp removal
« on: July 17, 2008, 11:51:17 am »

I don't know if this is a bug, but whenever you are designating the removal of ramps with z if your designation ever goes onto unseen stone, it is designated for digging. the stone that you can see is not, but the stone behind it is.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Is it designated for digging, or designated for ramp removal?

It's not designated for digging, it's designated for ramp removal.

The ramps that I designate are designated for ramp removal, but I am pretty sure that the unseen stone is designated for digging. Will test now.

EDIT:
Yep, the unseen stone is designated for digging.

Removing a ramp is essentially digging except it's removing a slope rather then a sheer rock face.
You're not meant to designate unseen stone in your ramp removals anyway...

The reason it was designated was that I was trying to designate a whole ton of ramps for removal all at the same time.

This has been around for a long time. It's irritating, because it makes ramp-killing take slightly longer on some shapes of mountain.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.
