Genetics?

Question: how do genetics work? Do any traits have dominant/recessive genes?

Acording to the wiki
APP_MOD_GENETIC_MODEL  Accepts DOMINANT_MORE, DOMINANT_LESS, and MIX
 Defines a genetic model for the relevant appearance modifier(s). May or may not do anything significant at present. 
So, we do have tags for this but no !!science!! has  been done on them yet.

I hope breeding gets changed from spores in the future. It's very hard to do genetics science otherwise...

I've seen people do -Science- on them, though. Searching those tags on the forums might turn up a few threads.
