And Dwarfs fight everything.

As long as they're drunk.

a goblin army is an interresting project.  I capture roughly 300 of em and they're still armed.  How would i go about training them to legendary?

ive gotten in the habit of replacing my chief medical dwarf as soon as he gains any notable skill in diagnosis.
It's really funny watching them do unnecessary surgery because of a wrong diagnosis.
the conditions were bad enough to turn a dwarf who didn't care about anything mad, that's pretty hardcore.

Well I have a resettable cage room, where I bait them onto a large bridge release / use my ground level air lock system (I don't use it as much, mainly just for building destroyers and wild animals), drop them into a massive, MASSIVE danger room, specially outfitted for goblins. [Weapon traps with training weapons are cheaper than a conventional dwarven danger room, but can kill unlucky goblins, but that's never been too much of a problem]. There's 3 exits, above, to a door to the left, and an artifact jade portal to the east. Beyond the jade portal is a corridor that leads to an adamantine spire, which leads, you guessed it, too spoilers. Useful thing to note is that there is no way for the goblins to escape, as I'd have to carve staircases out of adamantine before the goblins could run off screen off the edges of hell, and demons in the first few waves tend to path upwards. So in the end I'll either have lotsa armed goblins or lotsa demons to clean up.
