Lag while hauling to Depot

It like watching a slideshow when I assign things to be carted to the Depot for trade. As soon as it's done, POOF! Lag is gone.

So... is there a fix? One coming?

EDIT: Version 38C. Newest at time of post.

Update: It seems as soon as a couple of dwarves decided to pick up my bins, FPS jumped back up to original 100. It dropped to a consistant 30 when I was having the issue.
